My favorite guinea pig of all time just passed away tonight. She was at least five years old and had kidney problems (to the point of drinking nearly 32oz of water a day and going through spurts of hair loss). I suspect other problems as well. She was an awesome guinea pig that acted more like a cat. She would run up to me meeping and loved to have her chin scratched. Not the typical gpig at all. Her partner is just under a year old and has the beginnings of cataracts. I'm not planning on getting another pig so I'm going to start searching for a home for Christian. She's going to need a partner especially when the cataracts starts advancing.
