I hate to admit to admit it I have had two snakes escape before in the past and never found them. Well recently I purchased some more snakes and I housed in plastic shoe box tubs with lids inside a rack this was the same way I housed my jungles that hacthed out over here till they started feeding regulary. I did not have any jungles to get out being housed this way. Sunday I was feeding all of my baby snakes and when I get to the one tub its empty. The lid looks like it was closed properly. I searched high and low and did not find her any where. So I finished feeding the rest of them. What made this worse on me worrying is shes an albino and I knew if she got out into the wild she would have a slim chance of making it. So I put a f/t fuzzie in a deli cup and turn off the lights and I wait for about 20 minutes I go back into the snake room with a flash light and there she is I grabbed her and put in a more secure rack. I even ordered another one just in case I never saw her again before I found her lol.

I've had a male bullsnake get out of every cage I ever put it in. Never put colubrids in any of the big plastic cages but that guy sure was a candidate. He was gone for about 3 weeks and someone found him inside the air conditioner. That snake was not a happy camper when I pulled him out of there thats for sure. Also on other occations family members found him trying to get into a mouse cage lol what a site that was to see. I always fed prekilled but he squeezed each food item so hard some guts would almost always come out of its mouth Oo pretty nasty looking.
