Lost 11 month old Corn Snake

I lost my 11 month old corn snake In my car on a road trip. I made it home to find out it had escaped somewhere along my 4 hour ride. Not sure what to do, so far I’ve cleaned my car completely out, ran the AC For about 15 minutes in case it was in the vents, tomorrow I plan on putting a pinkie in with a bowl of water. Any suggestions?

Where did you keep the snake during the trip? Did you remove anything from your car before noticing it was missing? Did you make any pit stops along the way?

In all honesty if you cleaned out the car completely and you noticed it was missing straight away how would it have gotten into the vents...I believe it might have escaped and if that is true your chances of finding it is basically 0.

I didn’t stop anywhere on the way, I had it in a smaller container, the first thing I did when I got home was grab the container, I looked inside and he wasn’t in there, I opened it up and shuffled around the bedding I had in it and he was gone. I closed the door then started pulling everything out one thing at a time, shaking and checking all my items, shoes clothes etc. and nothing.

Well, I’d try the old leave out food trick and see what happens. Definitely a worst nightmare situation. Good luck, keep us posted.

Yea not much you can do. Next time maybe secure the container with some tape around the lid.
