I just lost my 8" P. formosa girl. I'm quite upset. She was one of my favorite Ts. I knew she was getting ready to molt, so I guess something went wrong. It's the most bizarre death. She was not in a death curl but hanging sideways from a piece of cork bark, and her abdomen was twisted. When I took her out, I saw she had thrown a leg. I don't know if she tried to molt and found herself in distress and threw a leg, or if she lost hemolymph from throwing a leg or what.

thats a huge bummer.

all that you can hope is that she is having a great time eating all she wants in T heaven.

Thanks for everyone's sympathies. It's the weirdest thing because her body never went into a death curl. When I took it out, it was still pliable. I put her into ICU, just in case, but she hasn't moved in the past 24 hours, and she doesn't respond to my moving her around.
