My Tiger Rump Molted this morning he/she has successfully pulls away from her exoskeleton, BUT she looks almost completely Grey, no resemblance to her colour at all, is this normal?
Thank you that's helpedthat's just the new skin before it has hardened.
It freaks me out every time.
Thanks manIt's the teneral phase, it'll regain its colour as the new exoskeleton hardens up.
I learned a new word: teneral. Never knew there was a word to describe that. Thanks! It's the teneral phase, it'll regain its colour as the new exoskeleton hardens up.

Hmmm I know how it feels lol been going grey since I was 20, and I've managed another 20 years so far lolWhen they are grey it's usually a sign of a genetic abnormality that indicates advanced aging. It will probably die in a year or two.
