Hello all,

Don't so much keep inverts but was referred here as a likely place to help me in a search.

I have a buddy who rears some rather finicky tree frogs. They are doing alright on crix but he would like to try something a bit more like their wild diet. To these ends I trying to help him find katydids to use as feeders. Have not been able to find any groups breeding them for feeder purposes. Curious if anyone here might have any references? Specifically looking for something basically along the lines of crix; oviposits in the soil, able to breed year round (figure that would be a tropical species), etc but not hard set against other options.

Thanks for any help

Cheers

What type of treefrogs? This way we can recommend a certain species of katydid that occurs in their range.

And what about grasshoppers? They sell 'em cooked but they must be acquired via breeding.
