looking for insight on possible species mix-up

about half a year ago i bought a lava spider for daenerys mother of spider whom i assumed to be a good source but as its begun to grow its started to look more like a pentaloris its still on the smaller side but i was curious if anyone could give me some insight on this.
( i plan to post an image as soon as i can get one of the sling in question)

This is the best I’m able to get comparing the 2 images to the sling has me concerned

I don’t need to look at the pics, slings of those 2 species look very very different. You were a victim of fraud/theft at worse, accident at best.

the thing that doesnt add up is when first got it, it had the black top and it kinda molted it away with each molt

You've been either scammed or the seller messed up your order. That is not a D. sp. panama and appears to be a D. pentaloris. I would contact the seller first for advice to see if they can resolve your issue.

It looks like a D. pentaloris. I'm so sorry. That sucks. Try to get in contact with the seller and if it is a scam tell people about it. I wish you the best of luck. Keep us updated!

davus sp 'panama' the one in one of the pics i posted they tend to run around 100-300 for slings, sometimes they are also called panama pinks but that name is very misleading to what they actually look like. it was the one i had originally intended to purchase but was replaced with the pentaloris

I don't think they are even in the US, I was joking. I almost bought a D fasciatus until I read the real ones aren't here. I don't know if D ruficeps is either. So I didnt buy one...

well for those who heard about this last night they just got back to me this morning, and they have also agree that this was not the intended sling they meant to give me and there must have been some sort of mix up. they have given me 2 options, the first is that if I'm willing to pay the shipping fee they will send me a davus sp 'panama' once the weather here has warmed up, or i can wait till the next expo where they are in the area to get it (this wouldn't be for another 4 months at least).

idk either the rucifeps to me looks a lot like a bunch of the other dwarf tiger rumps so i imagine it could be hard to find one for certain
