Hi guys! I'm fairly new to keeping T's, but I'm tickled pink with my two first slings - C. versicolor (first molt yesterday, yay!) and my teeny tiny E sp. red. Now I want to round out my collection with a fossorial. After watching a video on Mark's Tarantulas youtube channel I've fallen in love with his Orphnaecus sp blue luzon. My problem is i can't find much info on the species, and there are 2 others - O. sp blue panay and O. sp blue quezon that seem similar. I'm wondering if they are all the same and just called different names? If anybody can clarify and point me to some care info, it'd be much appreciated!

'Blue Luzon' is 'Blue Quezon'. Fossorial from Quezon, Philippines.

Same thing labelled different by hunters.

Keep with deep moist substrate for burrowing. 22-28c. Very fast and flighty species. Will bite if threatened. Most likely potent venom.

'Blue Panay' is different species.

Here is one of my 'Blue Quezon'

Hmm... If the care is similar to O. philipinus these guys might be a bit advanced for my husbandry level atm.

If you are looking for a fossorial species, a K. brunnipes may be a good option, I myself do not own one yet, but they seem fairly easy to keep from what I've read.

Yes, they are of similar care and disposition. Orphnaecus would be recommended for advanced keepers.

A seemani tend to burrow. Megaphobema robustum are a little more advanced but are heavy burrowers.

I've owned K. brunnipes, they are easy to raise.

Cheers for all the suggestions, guys! I have to say the K. brunnipes has caught my eye for sure. I think I might have a thing for dwarf species :) Now to see how available they are in the UK

My O. sp. Blue Querzon sling hasn't burrowed at all. She webbed a little tunnel on the surface and lives in there. She eats really well and has moulted a couple of times. Seems quite happy so may be semi-fossorial
