They are NOT for everyone! They are not cute and cuddly housepets, and they aren't very agreeable to people who try to control them. If you have other pets (dogs, other cats) that likely won't end well.

I hope you do A LOT of research before bringing one home :)

I've dealt with adult servals and just sold a baby serval for about 3500

They can be alittle intimidating when they dont want to be messed with.

Right now we have a bobcat and we are trying to get in some more servals and some caracals as well. Should be kittens.

I have found a breeder and have been in contact with them for about 6 months now. I only own Ts and Snakes right now....I am prepared to spend time Training and providing it with all its needs. It will still be a few months befor I am ready to get it as we need to move in to a new home...But I can wait im so excited...

If you want one of these, come to this forum! Great group of people with advice on exotic mammals and the like. The moderator has an emu, 3 foxes, llamas and even 2 black bears! She lives way out there if you hadn't guessed. :)

I should pay them a visit... haven't in a while..

I don't know why anyone would have PET black bears...a few months ago a woman in PA who raised exotics like bears and tigers was killed by her "pet" black bear.

I would like to get one of these cats. I watched a Cat 101 episode once on Savannah Cats. They are very pretty.

This is a black and white stray I took in over a year ago.

Smiling Kitty
He is a lot bigger now. I am so happy I took him in. There isn't a thing I would change about how my cat acts.

I have a Ragdoll, she is awesome :) VERY true to the "Ragdoll" name. I was a vet tech for 7 yrs and one our clients bred them, they are amazing cats.

At our clinic we also used to microchip all kinds of "big cats" (as cubs of course) for an exotic animals ranch not far from us. We did lions, tigers, servals, bobcats, lynx, cougars etc etc all as cubs but they can still be quite intimidating

Here is a pic of my Ragdoll, "Mouse"
