Gave my parents a lift to some dinner, and came home to find this guy sitting at my front stairs. Almost stamped him because he looked a little like a cane toad in the half light. Lucky I looked closer! He looks nice and fat. Sorry if some of the photos are crap.

It's an Australian Green Tree Frog. These guys can get pretty big and even eat small bats!

Gotta love living in Australia :D

This one lives in the lillies under our stairs. First time I've seen him though. Really cool critter.

For some weird reason I'm thinking it looks like the frog version of Buddha.

That's an awesome find. Set some loose in the U.S. so I can find some cool things too! Best thing I find is a cricket in my front yard, and most likely it's one I bought that got away from one of my T's.

I believe it's a species from genus Hyla, family Hylidae.
This one wasn't longer than 2 centimetres... so sweet ;)

I'm crazy about those froggies :D

Actually, it is not from the genus Hyla-I think your confusing this particular frog with the American Green Tree Frog (Hyla cinerea). This is an Australia Green Tree Frog, Litoria caerulea. Remarkable example of convergent evolution.

Nice specimen Phil. It is a good size by looks. I love these guys{D

Wow lucky find!! The only thing I find around here is the occasional scruffy stray cat and some little green lizards. I would love to live down under!
