wow i didn't even see this thread. I don't know yet, but i think she is going to name is Jeremy Fisher because she named her Burmese Hubert Cumberdale and she asked me who the other guy was when we were having lunch. On the way home he made himself at home.

Green tree pythons

I have several Green Tree Pythons, and they are all SWEETIES! They enjoy being held and are very gentle. They are slow moving, but curious for a little while, as you hold them, then they fall asleep in your hands! (They only time I do not reach into their cage is at night when they are "hunting".)

I highly recommend them as pets, but you need to get them from a breeder that has handled them when they were little.

Yes, Spruce Nubble is really good! Their prices really aren't too bad, considering that the little ones are a year old, sexed, and come with a one year guarantee!

By the way, that is one sweet looking Chondro in the pictures! LOTS of blue! Very pretty. {D

If you get a Green Tree Python from a breeder that has handled them about once/week and assured that they are reliable feeders, they can be more gentle and calm than a cornsnake! Just don't reach in to pick them up after you have turned out their lights, because they do into "hunting mode".

If you want something that is very forgiving and good with a 4 year old child, try a ball python, but if you are willing to learn how to care for something a little more intricate, a Green Tree Python can still be a good starter snake. Just do your research first. They need higher humidity, and must be fed after lights out in their cage from tongs. Locale also makes a difference. The Biaks can be nippy, but the Sorongs and Jayapuras are SWEETIES!

Great names (and pics)- now you just need a third named Marjori Baxter ;)
