Lobster Roach Problem!!!

hello guys , my dad bought me a couple of lobster roach it had 3 adults and mixed juvies and lots of babies with a bin , but the problem is , the bin is so messy and it smells like carton the bin inside has a bowl of dish , egg carton, and bone shaped cracker(dog food) as substrate,and legs and exoskeleton of lobster roaches , should i clean this ? if yes then how can i separate all the babies and juvies ,theyre very fast moving??

Make a new enclosure with coco fiber, dead dry leaves are a good addition.

Keep the food in a dish. Using only vegetable matter as food will greatly reduce the smell.

Thnx, but do these guys dig?? and also how do i clean the bin , it has lots of nymphs as in lots maybe hundreds , and it will take a long time for me to clean them ?

The roaches don't really care about living in a clean environment, as long as there is no mold or fungus growing they will happily walk all over the frass of dead peers and feces. Dry substrate and a good source of water through fruits / vegetables in a dish will keep down the odor. They will probably burrow but you can still find them if you dig around. Sure you might crush one or two if you're not careful but there will already be millions of other ones ready to take their place.

P.S. I don't think you really NEED substrate with these guys but I am no expert.

loose the substrate as you don't need any. That will clear up the smell. I've had these in the past but got rid of them as I could never stop them from escaping despite how much bug stop I used.
