:? does anyone else think a cobalt look lots like a singapore?i have only seen sling singapores ans a 3 in. cobalt to compare, but the genius gallery pics look almost the same.....
the singapore species, will burrow when young(IME). and the front four legs on the singapore are MUCH longer than the cobalt, also adult cobalts have a greyish carapace and the singapore does not. they are both blue......But the singapore is Arborial and the cobalt is a burrower, singapre have a different carapace shape then the cobalt, There are many differences in the two of them both asthetically and behavioraly, This is all just from my experience of keeping both species....But they can look a little simular i guess, when they are slings.....oh and you cant forget the stripping on the cobalts abdomen............I really like both species, but neither one you get to see very much....unless they are hungry..
Put a couple side by side and the dimensions of the anatomy will look completely different. Singapores are much leggier and have the wide toesies of an arboreal. Also the markings are not the same even though they both have blue as the primary color.
