A spider that I felt in love with her and decided I would take care of her as it was cold outside ... she molted and now is about 1.5 inch, I think she got nice detail and is a good feeder too

i've no idea thats the reason why I was posting her ... if anybady has an idea on the species it is, that would be helpfull

the closet things i have seen are hogna radiata (but has a different colored abdomen) and pisaura merabilis (but doesn't have such bold colors and has a longer and thinner abdomen). if i'm wrong (and i probably am), it's probably in that general area.

do wolf spiders make webs like that?
i think the web will help you as a diagnostic :)

It's definitely a dolomedes species, probably a scriptus female. Nice.

Actually, I think that's a scriptus male. I'll have pics of the 3 I caught yesterday up in my topic by wednesday.
