This is the coolest bloody thing I have seen since I have been into spiders. Is this typical webbing for all Liphistius murphyorum, is this typical for all trapdoor spiders or is this spider just an odd ball for webbing like that???? All I know now I HAVE to have something that webs like that. Should I stick with Liphistius murphyorum or will any trap door do?

All L. murphyorum should do that. They use the "trip-lines" to sense prey items. When they feel the vibration the spider bolts out, snags it's grub and disappears in the blink of an eye.

Pretty cool little way of living.

That's cool. I really have to get a trapdoor.
Can you basically keep them like T's?

i keep my liphs in 1 gallon jars with 7-8" on substrate (peat moss, bed-a-beast and a little bit of playground sand). i also put some moss on the top, all of mine used it to built their trap doors and positioned it to hold some of their triplines.

this is how i keep all of my other traps (3 red, 3 met.brown and a black)...they are all eating well and seem to be doing good. not too picky in terms of care IME
