Hello, I currently own a L. megatheloides and L. fallax; has anyone here ever been bitten or seen a bite report on them before? I know they used to be part of Hexathelidae which is known for its potent venom.

I would like to keep one but I've heard rumors of their venom packing quite a punch, but haven't been able to confirm that. Apparently there are very few to none bite reports on this species because it will always flee and is generally considered to be more skittish than defensive. Threatposturing is virtually non-existent.
They sure are fast though...

I'd assume they pack a decent punch.

Can't imagine managing to get bit though unless you went out of your way to handle one. They're extremely skittish and will be away into their maze web if they feel the slightest disturbance that isn't prey.
