Should i turn off the heat lamp for my scorpion come night time..or just keep it on 24/7...(as of right now i turn it off at night...just trying to see if i'm doing the right thing or not)?
Yeah turn it off...I have mine on a lamp timer that runs them from about 7AM to 10PM...I do this even in the winter though I have an extra room that always has the door closed and keeps it a bit warmer than the remainder of the house. The room gets down to the mid-uppers 60's by morning in the winter...all my things are doing well. Remember in the wild most of the inverts we keep have at least a 10F day/night temp variation in the wild. IMO they all benefit from a day/night cycle as well. Especially since nearly all Scorps are night predators.
