Bahaha, I love their little alligator faces. {D

What's the substrate? It's not the dreaded calci-sand, is it?

Yeah, I think it was. I hadn't had these guys for too long when those pictures were taken (about a year ago). It was changed later.

leopard geckos bite?? can they be handled?
Can they bite? Yes.
Do they typically bite (humans)? No.

Handled? Yes.

I have one that bites HARD!! It wont make you bleed unless you jerk away. Then it sort of slices you.
The ONLY reason this one bites is because she was born blind and has been hand fed all her life. She feels a hand and she opens up and tries to eat everything around her.
I have other leos that dont mind being held and a couple that HATE it. They've never attempted to bite, but they thrash and run and freak out.

Cute pictures, are those a male and female? I usde to have a pair of African fat tails, I always liked it when they would pick up thier tail and flicker it when they hunted a cricket.

Leopard geckos bite? Heh, interesting to hear. I got my first two leopard geckos for my twelth birthday and they were about eight months old, I'm now going on for twenty one and they're now part of a colony of 7, soon to be nine. I currently have thirteen, My two ol' girls, another two girls I got given about five years ago, a rescued male I got given at x-mas, four 'carrot tail' morphs I got given at the beggining of this year and my first four babies who are now four months old.

But my two ol' girls still have a special place in my world. They are both incredibly tame: they'll put their front feet on the ledge of their viv when the door is open if they want to be held, and they'll happily eat from my fingers whilst being held. Much more a traditional pet relationship ideal than many of my other pets who are more of a 'gold fish' fascination.

Great pets, easy to keep, like a long lived pet rodent, only scaley but just as cute.
