Leopard Geckos - Aggression

Hi all

I have 4 leopard geckos and the last saturday night i caught two of my geckos in a real fight. 1 had bitten the others tail and wasn't letting go for nothing, whilst the other was trying to disuade the aggressor by biting her nose.

I split them up as i don't want them to harm each other. I've noticed this pair fighting before but never this seriously. They were both bleeding a little by the end of it. Plus whilst i was seperating them the aggresor tried to bite me.

Could this be because of something i'm doing wrong? Theres always plenty of food available, enough hides, fresh water.

I'm certain all of the four are females too, so its not 2 males fighting.

Yep they really can be nasty to each other ,We had to seperate our male & female ,they still get on fine outside the tanks , But not together in iver

it could be because they are very teritorial.

I got mine because it didnt came along with those other two with whom she should have been live. And of course this crazy one is that fighter... weirdo as hell and as stupid. But i still like it.

Hopefully they can decide who's the boss so you dont have to separate them.

Funnily enough the aggressor is infact the smallest (in weight) of the 4 and shes alos naemd after my girlfriend so i know where she gets her aggression from.

I'm just gonna keep them seperated for ever as i fear its the aggressor who'll end up hurt or dead as she is the smallest.

I'm having problems getting her to eat now she is in a new tank, though some waxworms have arrived and new crickets too so hopefully she'll want some of them.

May be you have a Hot Female or Females? I have 4 females and 1 male togather besides the Male Trying to Mount the Females there is no Fighting and every one has their Original Tails.
