I was recently given a couple geckos which I was told were a male and female Leopard gecko pair. I looked forward to trying my hand at breeding until I found out that the male was actually an African Fat Tail. Anyway, I got a real Leopard gecko male for Christmas but it doesn't look adult just yet. Is it big enough to mate to my female or does he need to grow a couple more months?

They need to be about 10 months of age before they are old enough and even then I would not suggest introducing the male to the female unless they are about 45 - 50 grams at the very least.
Of course since you are following proper quarantine procedures it will be at least April before you let him anywhere near her so you have time to fatten them up.

Same as JohnEDove, but they weight is much more important than age. I've had them breed pretty young (by accident), and the eggs were viable and hatched. But I wouldn't recommend trying until they are at least 35 grams, but over 40 is better. Feed them up!!
