Leiurus quinquestriatus hebraeus mating with L. quinquestriatus?

Has anyone tried this before? Would it even work?
I have a beautiful L. quinquestriatus hebraeus male, and finding a female now is rather difficult. Is it possible to breed with a regular female LQ? I wonder what morph the offspring would be if it did work.
(also, obviously looking for an L.q hebraeus female)
Thanks.

No, it should not work, because if these two species would be able to interbreed and produce viable offspring, L.q.hebraeus would not be given a subspecies status?? Just thinking out loud here.....this would seem logical, at least to me :)

Things can mate and produce offspring even in the genus level sometimes. Horse&Donkey, Lion&Tiger etc. On species level, they should actually be able to produce fertile offspring regardless of the subspecies. "Should I create a subspecies level hybrid?" is the real question and as long as you don't sell or release the offspring, I don't see a problem.

Ps: "A species is defined as a group of organisms capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring."

Ps II: "Organisms that belong to different subspecies of the same species are capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring, but they often do not interbreed in nature due to geographic isolation or other factors."

Nice to know. But based on the responses in this thread I'll probably only mate it with another hebraeus (if I can ever find a female that is).
