Leaf insect nymphs

After a few months of waiting some of my leaf insect eggs (P. siccifolium) have hatched.....

They are tiny when they are born and look like little brown pieces of broken dead leaf. They grow they are growing quickly and developing their lovely green colour.
I am awaiting hatchlings of Extatosoma tiaratuma and Phaenopharos khaoyaiensis.
Thankfully I have plenty of bramble!
For non UK members the coin pictured is about 1cm across...

that's one cool looking leaves eater. is that species legal in the United States? does anyone know? how big does it get and how long can they live? what kind of leaves do they eat?
