Anyone know how to raise leaf hoppers there are some large green ones that I like, and they make good feeders for orb weavers. Any tips on how to care for and breed them? I am thinking of a 20 gallon with lots of live plants.

Lots of live plants, medium humidity, high temps. Many of these species will feed on milkweed and other plants found in fields that are not grasses. You'll have to expieriement to find out what they'll lay eggs on.

Like everyone said, high temps, humididty, etc.

I'd try to emulate some sort of day-night cycle for them. Larvae will look like somebody hocked a loogie on your plants. Nymphs need stem plants to feed on, and like tattypop said above peppers would be a good choice.

Florescent lights are needed to keep their host plants alive. I'll keep an eye out when bugging to see what plants I've seen the spittlebugs on.

Keep us updated...these would make great feeders for any arboreal spiderling. They're glasswalkers.
