in another post of yours you said that you purchased your aboreal "beanie babies" cages from hobby lobby. i went to the site about twelve minutes ago, but i can't find them anywheres. did you purchase them online, and if so, can you remember which part of the site you went to??? :duh:

oh yeah, do those cases have a big enough size to house a full grown a.versicolor and an a.metallica???

thanks...

You can usually find those things in any hobby shop like Michael's. Also, many collectible shops carry them as well. If you do some poking about in your phonebook you'll probaby find a supplier newrby.

Good luck.

beanie boxes

I know this was for LCDXX, but you can order them from Tapplastics.com. Look under containers, different sizes, lowest price is a 10 count for $7.00,
Not sure what size they are, you can get the specs at the web site. Hope this helps

nice site

thanks for the site hairy; its containers look remarkable. there is a special acrylic plastic that they make that has a heat resistance up to 160 F that i think i'll ask them to make a vivarium out of for me (that's if they perform custom jobs).

how does 18" long * 15" wide * 18" high sound for keeping an a.versicolor in one side and an a.metallica in the other? what i'll do though is to split the container into two (by having them add a partition to separate it in a perfect half) rather than having two containers that size.

i'll send them an e-mail and see what they say. g'night y'all.

Sorry it took so long to reply to this but I see that you've already got some help here...

I actually went to the Hobby Lobby store to purchase those containers, but I'm sure by now that you've found several places online to get them. Of the selection they had at the store, there weren't any I would consider large enough for an adult tarantula.

last time i was at tapplastics asking about customs they said...if it can be built or designed...they can make it...

I bought two for my slings...but when they get full grown I may have them make me a custom one....

called tap plastics...

and asked them to make a terrarium for me, but the sales clerk told me that because i live on the east coast, it would be "pretty risky" to ship what i wanted. so he told me to find a manufacturer close by and ask them to construct it for me.

anywho, i found one, but i have yet to call them and see if they can help me out. hopefully they'll have the same hi-impact acrylic that tap carries. :(
