Laundry Spider ID please!?

While my wife was doing laundry in the basement, she caught this little beast. She really doesn't care what it is as long as it is GONE! I give her :clap: :worship: :clap: :worship: on catching the thing.......

Boy, ya got me!

She is kind'a cute though! A face only an arachnohaulic like myself could love. I'm no expert, but I really don't think it's dangerous though.

It's not dangerous, but it's also a fairly common species and it's quite possible that you may end up discovering others of its same kind nearly three times the size. They get surprisingly large. I'm not sure if it has a common name, but the family name starts with a b. It's in the golden guide.

Looks like an Amaurobius sp. ( possibly ferox ) to me.
