Can humans build up a resistance to Lactrodectus venom? I ask this question because I saw a program on NG with that guy who has the whole room filled with widows, and he got bit on camera, and was just like "We'll see if I have to go to hospital" or something along those lines. I'm sure he's been bitten before, so, could he possibly have a resistance to the venom?

maybe so

It's possible. I saw this one show on animal planet about venomous snakes, and this one guy had been keeping them for like 30 years, and he strategically injected himself with small amounts of snake venom, and he eventually became immune to them. I suppose the same could be with the guy and widows. Widows are a lot smaller than venomous snakes and put out far less venom, and nowadays people rarely die from widow bites, soooooo I guess if you allowed yourself to get bit enough, you might build up an immunity...? I wouldn't try it on myself, though :D
