I want to share the bad news that i failed as a keeper, i've had this girl for almost a year and today she lost against her prey. The cricket somehow got her good and she died from her injury. A loss is never good and i feel like i could've prevented this by pre-killing the prey like i would a sling. R.I.P Guztul

I'm sorry for your loss. You haven't failed as a keeper, these things happen to experienced keepers as well as newer keepers. I've always heard that crickets have that sort of reputation. It'll be alright.

@Barbotte Going by that logic I failed as a wrangler when I put a gun barrel up against the forehead of a horse.
Preventable deaths are a learning lesson. Nobody is perfect. Now move on to phase 2, the older wiser keeper with a leg up on the cold hard reality downside of keeping animals that should be in the mind of every responsible animal keeper.

How large was the cricket? It shouldn't have been large enough to kill it. I've used crickets before but never ones that were big enough to cause that kind of injury.
