I have a Latrodectus hesperus whuch is around 3rd or 4th instar that just molted. How long should I give it before tossing in a small post molt meal?

couple/few days would be more than enough

i seem to remember watching L.spp eating the same day they molted

seriously, these are one of the hardiest/unkillablest species i have ever kept... i had one girl who my brother caught mature, on about a 2-3 times a year feeding schedule... she lived for over 3 more years and clutched maybe 10 sacs, the first three or four of which were VERY fertile

Cacoseraph, you may possibly have sent me the collest little arachnids I've ever had my hands on. Thanks for answering my question too. :D

you're welcome

i'm digging the poop out of the little V.c's you sent me too. A couple of days after i got them one of my C. vittatus birthed... the 2nd instar Vaejovids are HALF the size of the 1st instar Centruroides... freaking awesome!

my room mates didn't think they were real at first :)

oh, and as far as feeding schedule. you can most definitely over-feed kill these things. they will eat until their abdomen looks like the cuticle is tearing. and they will probably still eat, but the experimental subject fell out of her web and er, broke
