A few months ago I was fortunate enough to acquire a few L bishopi slings from another arachnid breeder. All the males grew up fast and all but 1 has died. I finally had my first female mature recently so after I fed her once I figured I better introduce her to a male while I still have 1 left. It seemed to go pretty well. The male tied her up with silk and had his way with her basically. I hope I can get several of these going in captivity soon. The pic looks like crap but they usually do when being taken thru a plastic vial

latrodectus bishopi

Since this species is so rare alive in collections, I applaud you attempting to rear it in captivity ,rather than wild collect spiders.Let me know if you able to part with a fewspiders.Cheers, Tom

Awesome! Brian, I definitely want s'lings and yes, like the previous poster said, breeding the L. bishopi is ecologically beneficial too.
