my GF is really into jumpers, she says they are beautiful spiders. but they have a bad attitude... true or can they be handled/ kept as pets etc???

cute pic... jumpers are also my second favorite group of spiders. I haven't found them to have a bad attitude either...I handle them regularly, and have yet to be bitten

Jumpers are awesome. Their great vision and motion gives the illusion of an almost anthropomorphic quality.

I agree about the genetics Fry, we both can become a couple of Dr. Moreau and raise Aranae to human status. Heck take the Widow, she would be the ultimate sultry seductress (yeah, um right) but the salticidaes well, they would become our greatest drinking buddies. And catch all the ballgames. Nice plot for a science fiction novel, move over China Miaville. *lol*
