I have been tryingo to incubate thsse egg cases but withno luck. I keep them on moist eat moss and in 3/4 ouch delli cups inside a gladward tupperware container. Its humid in there but my ooths keep getting "dents" in the cases. And i heard that if there are dents in the cases they are bad.

Any help??

Here is how i do it.

I collect mine every 3-4 days, put them in a small deli cub without a lid. then put that in a small critter cage that have an 1.5" of substrate. I keep the substrate moist and put the critter cage on a heat mat (because it's getting cold here). some egg cases will shrivel and some will not. have some patient, it will take a while for them to hatch.

Dents are not a problem most of the time. Normally they may or may not dent in good conditions.

Try another substrate too- peat moss is acidic and can sterilize and ootheca. Use a coconut fiber product like EcoEarth or Bed-a-Beast or similar substrate. Or potting soil. Don't let them stay too wet either.

what are your temps anyway? as Matt said maybe another substrate, like vermiculite or coconut, maybe even perlite. you want a little condensation on the walls due to good temps(85-90F) and humidity.

When I wanted to speed up hatching I used a deli cup with a few holes and put the ooths in a bottle cap inside the container surrounded by coco-fibre. I would just soak the fibre and it made nice humidity. Oh yeah and I put this almost touching the rim of a heat lamp for heat.
