My T is just sittin there with her legs under her body. I saw her like that last night and put her in ICU. This morning I saw sth liquid on one of her legs so I superglued it. Also there was a lot of "bird-poop' like stuff over the paper i put in the ICU. Just a minute ago I glued another spot where she seemed to be bleeding from. I'm seriously thinking of takin her out of her misery. It's so bad to see what used to be a beast in such a condition. She must have fallen from the top of her tank where she sometimes hang-out. Please dont mention anything about prayers etc. cause I'll say sth bad about what ur praying to and I dont wamt to start a religion thread here. So, any advice??? Should I kill her???

The worst thing is that I'd be re-housing her to a new, shorter tank. I hate myself.... :8o :( :( :( :( :( :(

Feed it to a bigger spider if you have one. If not, get experimental with some scissors. (Not being heartless, just not beating around the bush)

In my house all deaths make it to the 'Geniculata Chow' section.

You should of fixed it so she couldn't climb, especially after noticing her doing it so frequently; It'd be a matter of time before she slipped, and in this case, quite possibly to her death...

What do you mean about a shorter tank?

Anyway, condolences man... Give it another day, then put it to a refreidgerated death, or if you can to your other spiders.

I mean a tank that she wouldnt be able to get hurt from falling as it'd be too short.

you can put her in the freezer to euthanize her and this way she wont't smell bad.
And after that you if you wanna keep her you can put her in clear resin.

Gamise ta pano.....

uhhhh, quite humid. I sprayed as often as possible so that it didnt get swampy and didnt catch mites but it didnt get bone-dry either. Whats ur theory????

She's also been losing her itching hair and I thought she was in pro-molt. Oh well, I guess life goes on and on.

Please don't kill it! Give it some time! How big is she? Give her a chance... these guys take FOREVER to heal, try some toilet paper or something.... but PLEASE don't kill her yet!:(

Don't worry, I wont. As long as she's "moving" I wont give up hope. I think it was you that had a situation like this that ended up in a molt??? I hope for the best.

Ps. She must be like 5-6 inches

How exactly do you seal the wounds by the way? Just apply the glue and watch it dry?

Please shed some light onto this, it's something I've read about, but not in great detail.

Cheers, most aprpeciated!

Does anybody remember a thread on this?:?

Anyway, my 9" t. blondi arrived with a leaky wound on her leg. I put her in the refrigerator for 1 1/2 hours and when she was mellow, I took her out and wrapped tiny toilet paper bandages on her leg. The hemolymph kind of glued the whole thing together and the bleeding stopped. But, she ate a mouse yesterday, and during her bath, she rubbed it off. But the bleeding stopped shortly thereafter, so I think I caught it!

I don't think I would apply SuperGlue or NuSkin to a wound involving a joint. If you DO decide to use it, apply the TINIEST bit, see if the bleeding stops, if not, a TINY BIT more, etc. Keep in mind that whatever you fix has to come off during the next molt. If she has trouble getting out of it, the molt could kill her.

As far as refrigeration goes, I'd start her with 1/2 hour, check her every 15 minutes. She'll get more and more sluggish. Remove her when you don't get much of a response to a tickle or lifting of a leg. ESPECIALLY with a blondi, or a pokie, etc., you want to make darn sure she's not going to warm up and get active during the "surgery".

Good luck "dr. deifiler!"
