Hi

Im currently new to the hobby for about 2 months now and my 2nd tarantula is a lasiodora klugi, i have read some care sheets in the internet about the humidity that the substrate supposed to be moist and some care sheet says it supposed to be dry? Which one is the truth? I have research that this species are found in the tropical forest on brazil but i want to make sure if it requires a moist substrate

Thank you

look up Lasiodora Parahybana caresheets ..Care is exactly the same size... these are a VERY heavyweight spider with a legspan of 7-10.5" inches.. second or third heaviest to T blondi
I got a little baby sling there so cool ...keep slings half dry /half misted

lasiodora parahybana in general wins in legspan 8-11" size.. 10.5-11" being rare large ones
usualy 9-10" size for females ... smallest possible size is around 7 inches
Klugi is heavier ..Lp leggier

L. klugi doesn't get to 10.5", only to around 8" I believe.

And I know this is off the OP topic but I'm tired of having to read it so I'm sorry OP. But I've yet to see any scientific evidence anywhere saying that LP's get to 11". So despite what others (Ultum) have likely read somewhere online saying that they might get 11" in the wild and gotten all excited about and posted it on here, they generally only get to 10". Once again sorry for going off topic OP.

L klugi used to hold a world record in weight.. before T blondi was discovered... the largest specimen was 10.5" inches lol
7.5-8 is a average 9"+ being rarer... Max of klugi is around 10-10.5" smaller then LP.. wild Ones are supposably bigger I see no proof though
Lp is typically larger 8-10"+

your correct I see no proof of Klugi getting 11" ....Lasiodora parahybana Rivals T blondie & can Obtain this Immense size...Wild indiviuals eat anything & everything in sight
ROb C had a 10-10.5" Lasiodora Parahybana but sold it-- no proof of a 11" one but cirtainly possible
