Whether these four hobby species have been muddled with they deserve to be all on one post. I’m not a big fan of the Lasiodora genus but I’m a collector and I like to take photos of every species that is currently sold in the hobby. Now, I don’t know much about what might of went on with the four species in the hobby, or if they are four different species. Regardless of what they might be they’re listed as is for now and this is their current appearances of them and they’re been sold as. All four specimens are or previously own by different owners.

Members of this genus do look similar but there are differences if you look closely. I'm not aware of hybrids in the hobby. I own a L klugi, my showcase spider. Caresheets for them are identical. I've never even seen a hybrid offered for these. One of the main reasons that prices vary so much is that some species are far easier to breed then others. That's where there's a lot of variability. This probably reduces the risk of accidental hybrids. L fracta is also a very nice member of the genus. If I had the room, I'd get them all!! They are always out, eat anything and aren't totally inert or homicidal. Overall they are calm but not handlable.
