Well my Lampropelma Violeceopes (Singapore blue) eggs with legs started darkening up and are molting into 1st instars! The "odd" eggs have actually formed on the inside and you can actually see them wiggling and turning dark, pretty cool stuff. There were about 10 eggs I could not get the crust/skin off, so I just left them...glad I did!!!

"odd eggs" - notice them forming in crust/skin:

Looks like a cave painting on that outer shell. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Gonna have to get a few regalis from you so I have a couple bloodlines to raise up from slings. I'm excited  <-- this emote should be a monkey with two hand crash cymbals.

That is some weird stuff. So the odd eggs are emerging from that skin when they molt into first instar? Thanks for documenting all of this. I'm sure it'll be helpful for all future Lampropelma breedings.

Good Stuff Rob!

You sound like you need a few good nips of the NyQuil for that cold ;)

We midwest peeps can tell when someone is having some sinus issues :D

I live in the rocky mountains and I'm in no better condition - this bug knows no bounds, clearly. But for the sake of giving the cred to you midwest folks, I blame you for me being sick! ;P

I'm feeling saucy tonight.. I'll take this blame {D

Thing is if it would just snow and stick around it would kill much of what's been going around but unfortunately we've not had any snow as of yet and it's mid November.

Last year this time, in the tiny plot of Ohio I live in, we had 2 feet of snow already. It's going to be a long, wet and miserable winter I'm afraid.

We just need more T's to keep us happy indoors as the weather is crap outdoors! :D

so question.....when they are released from the egg and their abdomen still "looks" like an egg, is that just nutrients for them to continue?
