Any one know if these can be sexed through just a quick visual..any distinct notable differences between male and female, without having to handle them?I've got 4 on the way and actually only want a pair.I've setup the large small critter keepers(5"x8"x7" high) for each of them with 4" of substrate and hides. Will this be adequate or should I go larger?...peace..

I think the only way is to look at the size of the pectines. Put the scorp into a small petpal w/ no substrait and look through the bottom.

The quick key for Leiurus (approx. 70% accurate): pedipalps are longer and narrower on males than females. Otherwise, they must be officially sexed, and due to there being an overlap on pectinal tooth count with males and females, pectinal counts are often unable to determine sex with any accuracy.

adios,
