Hi,
I have a female L.parahybana which has 14cm legspan.

She molted about seven weeks ago and have eaten 70medium to large crix since then.
Her tank has about 80% humidity and a temperature of 29C.

Lately she's started to get the bold spot on her back, and I wonder if she's getting ready to molt already?!

Hi ya
I doubt your L.parahybana is going to moult shes a little bit too big to be moulting again so soon, if she's going bald she has probably just been kicking hairs, if the bald spot darkens this can be a good indicator of an impending moult.

The baldness is not in any way related to molting. They can kick enough hairs to be bald again right after molting.
The only reason why this gets confused is that you are able to observe the skin color change, a result of a new exo-skeleton forming under the old one...
If you have a NW spider with a patch of hairs missing, you will be able to predict a forthcoming molt by watching the color turn from pinky - to a shiny black. Usually over a few weeks, shorter for a smaller spider, longer for the larger spiders.

Great! Thanks for your answers. I thought it was a bit early for her to start another molt. She's huge - but haven't eaten anything for about 9 days now.

She really was pre-molt!!

Wow! Who would have guessed :? She really was pre-molt!
She ate her last cricket four days ago, and now she just flipped over on her back.
She has been kicking off hairs all day long and made herself a silk-bed. :)

I'll update the post with more pictures in a while.
Maybe it should be moved to the piccies section.
