Well, Im wondering how much substrate an L. parahybana needs. Im assuming it will be growing sometime to a large size, therefore needing burrowing space. How much substrate will I need?

Also, I was looking at care guides, and most said it was very terrrestrial, but a few sources say it will need room to make a burrow. Will I even need more than 1-2 inches of substrate and a little hollowed out log for a hiding place?

Thanks :)

How big is your L.parahybana now? They tend to burrow as they are small for security, and become more and more bold as they grow.

My LP's biggest hobby is to move dirt so I have provided her with about 25-30 cm (~10-11") of peat to play with. I don't know if she really needs it but it looks like she likes it.

Haha, yeah, somehow they seem to enjoy doing some hobby excavation-work now and then :p

My L.parahybana never digs. I got her on Forest Bedding with a halved flower pot for her to hide. the only time i seen her move dirt was to make room under the flower pot and she digs in the corner where i have the heat mat located. and also, when i placed a smaller kritter keeper above her, she tried to dig out. for 90% of the time she is out in the open.
