how big is he in that picture?

I recently got one, about 1" maybe 1.25". Looks like that, just cant tell if yours is larger. I cant wait for it to grow more and I can get it into a nicely setup exoterra.

And yea mine did the exact same thing with me lol. Freaked my girlfriend out, thought it was going to bite me, but she is slowly getting over her fear.

oh ok awesome, thats how big mine is now roughly. Any advice on feeding them that small? What did you do? Ive been doing 4 small crickets per week putting them in there and usually 1 will dissappear (im just hoping it cuz it ate it). Any tips?

I found after it had made its web behind that peice of bark it had a little platform were he would sit and wait for prey to walk by. so when I knew he was hungry by dripping water near him and him striking for it I could pretty much drop the cricket right infront of him into his web and boom straight away food in mouth!

sometimes the cricket's are a bit more flighty and they jump off and hide somewere but i keep an eye on them and they usualy make there way up the log as i heard that black crickets like to climb more than brown crickets and i usualy use black, for that reason really, and he gets em on the way up.

he was allways a good eater really, but then i did usualy bring the food right to him, hehe :)

Nice pic of the Lasiodora parahybana. I have a baby... not even 3/4". Can't wait for it to keep growing!

Wow! It is an event when I get to see my versi! She is a bit shy, you might say! I am envious of those pix!

My yearling LP just molted, I think she is now larger than my 10 y/o B smithii!

To make things easier on my little ones I dismember roaches for them. By morning they are all sitting in there cages eating.
