L.Para laying flat -weird...

I noticed a few days ago that my 3" female Salmon Pink was laying kinda flat on the sub, legs spread out! I have never seen this in any of my T's before so I snapped a few pics-

I did'nt load the pics up from my cam until today and found out why..

I caught my G. rosea doing this a few weeks ago. It does look very odd. I thought they only stretched out like that after a moult, but I guess it's just comfy!

Here's why she was stretching out-

Yeah, duhhhhh me. :8o I knew she was close to a molt but I did'nt notice the exuvium as I was snappping the pics. My son actually told me the next day that she had molted and I just looked at the pics today.
When I first saw her I though something was wrong with her! My eyesight is really getting bad I guess....:wall:

Haha, not so weird then. Still don't know why my rosie was doing it but I guess she was just being normal for a rosie...

Been catching one of my B albos doing it too. Must just feel good to stretch now and then.

very pretty rosie here, yes tarantulas usually stretch after the molts

Thankyou Anastasia. She is gravid at the moment so fingers crossed in a few weeks I will have some nice red babies (well, brown babies that will be red in a few years!)

I've never been particularly partial to rosies, but that one's gorgeous! I'll buy one of her slings from ya.
