Guys, I have a 4" male & a 3" DLS female Lasiodora Klugi. I'm just curious if you can give me an estimate as to how many more molts before they become adults.

Also, I've read somewhere that male lifespan is about 3-6years, how many more years do you think my male will live?

TIA!

hmm

If it hasnt matured and gotten is "man parts" then you should be good for a while. You should look at getting him a nice female to make him happy before he goes. I think they are slow growers but I am not sure on this SP

^^

I've been told that just like L.Parahybana, they mature fast(specially males) I'm sure my male is just a juvy coz I've had a male before that reached around 10-11" DLS & the male I have right does not even look close to 1/3 of my male before.

I have a female but is only 3" DLS:8o , It's quite difficult to acquire a female L.Klugi here in the Philippines.

Thanks mate!

what if?

What if you tried to force the female into faster growth and slowed the male down? Theoretically, you could keep the male cooler, and feed less, while keeping your female warmer and feeding more frequently. You MIGHT be able to push the female to maturity by the time the male has his ultimate molt. Might be worth a try, given the scarcity of those t's in your area.

IBT, that would work (most times it does anyways, from what i hear). i've never done it myself, but i've heard it can work.
