Kitten question

6 month old cat-kitten gets knocked up and cranks out 5 kittens. 2 are runts. One runt, female, and the three males are active and healthy.
The other unt, female has been feeding regularly but in the past 3 days has shown signs of weakness, barely able to get on her feet. 48 hours ago she started shaking when doing any exertion. Now she barely moves at all and shakes constantly when she gets to her feet.

So what's the common maladies? I'm surprised a first time mom this young has done as well as she has without infant mortality.

Second question. How old before giving them solid food?

Addition: Acute abdominal sensitivity/pain? noted 3 hours ago. Has quit nursing. Mild tremors. Giving clear water by mouth.

Injury, illness or most likely a birth defect. If you have the money take her to the vet, but then it may already be too late. I got a kitten from
a strange man & as I was leaving he tells me: "If he gets sick be sure & take him to the vet." I asked what that meant and he said "nothing".
Within a few days the baby went from playful to dead. The morning I noticed he was acting ill, within the hour he was gone. I was trying to
wait for the vets office to open, but he didn't last that long. My husband called the vet later & they said they probably couldn't have helped him.
It was probably a birth defect.
Hopefully your kittens problems are temporary. Wish you the best.

I found two kittens in the woods in a old building that had the same problems they died about 3 days later

Sorry to hear Snark. There's so many things it could be at such a young age and without an autopsy you'll likely never know. Abdominal swelling can be due to a multitude of causes.

I offer my condolences to you. And while this may sound cold and insensitive, at least you have four healthy kittens.
