Welcome to my Photo Thread, which will also have updates along with many photos. I currently have 2 Tarantulas.
My Mexican Redrump (Brachypelma Vagans) sling died a few days ago, Apr 2010~July 2010. I'm quite upset over its loss, as I was really looking forward to 10~20+yrs with the little thing. I think it was a bad molt as it died shortly after molting. Not sure if I was the cause of not *cries*
My Cyriocosmus Perezmilesi (Bolivian Dwarf) sling is doing well, I think, as its still alive & eating
It has made a really pretty Hobbit Hole house & is currently chowing down on a house fly that flew into the fridge & hibernated. Talk about a rude wakeup call eh? lol To ensure my sling could catch it if it woke up (wasn't sure if it was still alive really) I ripped off its wings.
Here is the little thing chowing down on its face
The cute little Hobbit Hole House
I had no idea this cute little thing would make such a pretty house. I'm so very happy I picked it out... I got the 2 slings at the Mississauga Reptile Expo a few months ago from Tarantula Canada. I didn't plan to get any as I was working at the Little RES Q, but after seeing the photos of all the pretty Tarantulas I had to get at least one & with the sling price I was able to get 2! So I was very happy with my little babies <3 & not really prepared.
Lilly is about 4yrs old & is a female Rose Hair. She is my first Tarantula and I love her to pieces. I don't hold her too often as I am scared of her & I also don't want to bother her too much. She has traveled with me a lot & even came to work with me one day.

I need to take more photos of her for some current ones. I'll try to get some within the hour.
