Hi all!

I was wondering about the care of Kenyan Sand boas. I have read care sheets and everything and want to hear from people who keep/kept them. I was just wanting to know basic husbandry tips about them. Also, how do you go about feeding so they dont ingest substrate since they burrow? Anything is apprieciated!

Thanks everyone,
Sam

I have a couple juvis. They're very easy to keep. As far as feeding, I just separate in deli cups and set the pinkie in with them. They eat it within 10 minutes. I keep mine on aspen because I've read about issues with the abrasive nature of sand near their vents. A water dish and a basking lamp is what I use to heat the enclosure.

I would contact OldHag as she raises them.
I have quite a few for sale even!! They are 100 % het for anerytheristic if you are interested in breeding.

I keep mine on aspen shavings. Feed them in a deli cup, when they are big just put in a big cookie tuperware thing and feed them in that.
Bowl of water, and a warm spot of 90 is all they need!
Very sweet snakes, never in a hurry to go anywhere and just like to hang out. I love them!

Would I be able to keep her on aspen shavings temporarily until i get sanichips? Also, what substrate is best for them?

Like we said, we both keep them on aspen full time.

EDIT: And I realize I didn't log out of my boyfriend's name lol This is LeilaNami
oh, alright lol. Well, are sanichips better than apsen since its kinda more grounded?
