Keeping dermestids

So I rounded up a few dermestids I found in my house. Idk they're either really inactive or many of 'em have died. I like never see them eating the dead insects I toss in either. I must be doing something wrong...how doe one go about raising dermestids?

There are a lot of bugs that fall into that group, but not all of them eat meat. Can you provide a picture? If not, I have a thread going that shows my colony here

I'll be adding in a caresheet when I get some time, but keeping them room temp and relatively dry with plenty of food is about the way to go.

My camera has 2 megapixels. There is no way on earth it can photograph a teeny tiny dermestid.

All i do is add the food and let them eat it takes my colony one day [and a little bit]to finish a bluebottle fly its so cool!BTW i have 12 little critters[including three adults]

Hey bigboy i got a question im raising a small colony of larder beetles[yes im sure theyare larder beetles they have the little yelowish band and the spots on the middle of them] so do i need to give them water [i have no bedding un less a dead fly leg and wing counts! j/k] oh i got one more whats a good staple diet and how often should i feed em?
