Anyone attempt to keep these in captivity before? I'm not talking about the predaceous species but the herbivores. What plants do they usually eat? Any breeding success?

I had a colony going for a bit... I was feeding them from the japanese maple in my yard. I doubt if that is the best food for them, but it is what they were feeding on when I caught them.

dt, are you talking about local species, or exotics? i would say if it's a local, you could do a little research/observation and collect a few species of plants you find them on to vary and complete their diet.
