A little orb weaver sitting on the washing machine, it's most recent web effort on a nearby bush just trashed by a late season monsoon. With little cajoling I got it on my hand and moved it to the porch upstairs under the eaves with the wires coming into the house and porch railings offering suitable anchor points out of the weather. She's rewarded me. with a series of webs for a couple of months. Now she's parked in a corner of the window in a mini web for her winter nap. Hopefully she will make it through until the next season.

Unfortunately this puts a severe damper on my declaring biological warfare on our mite invasion at the windows. Seems there just isn't a perfect solution sometimes.
