I just got my first T today!!! The RCF Rosey from the LPS was still there after 2-3 months (and priced the same as her greyish/brownish neighbors...) so I got to bring her home! She's settling in currently - its only been a few hours - but I posted some pictures of her in my gallery and on this thread http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?p=1155058#post1155058
So far she seems to have a good personality - at the store the employee gently got her out, but regulations wouldn't allow them to let me hold her, just pet her. She sat in her hand making threat postures, but didn't try to bite or freak out, just seemed surprised (she's been in that little cage for several months without much handling, so not surprising that she was spooked). When we got home I put the deli cup she was packed in in the cage, opened it, and very gently touched her with my finger, and she climbed out fairly calmly. Sudden movements have caused a couple threat postures, but mostly she's a pet rock that has randomly moved around (corner of the cage, top corner behind that, etc) I expect that though, but its kinda fun to walk in and see her sitting still as a statue in a completely different spot, even if I only see her move on occasion. But its just her first day, she needs time to settle in.
She's very pretty, her hairs are a coppery red - hopefully I'll get her in some lighting that will show that for a couple pictures so I can show off her pretty colors - but I didn't want to move her around too much for now, so I just took some pictures of her wherever she wanted to sit, trying not to disturb her too much.
I'm so excited! I've been reading and researching for almost a year about T's - its great to finally have one!!!!
