Just got back from White Plains Reptile Expo! New Additions :)

Well, I attended my 3rd reptile show in 3 months since getting into the tarantula keeping hobby back in September, and I am happy to have walked away with 7 new additions today, now bringing my collection to a grand total of 17 T's! All were purchased from Anastasia Haroldsen and Tom Patterson of the Northeast Tarantula Breeders Group, really nice group of folks! I blew $160 and picked up 6 slings, C. fasciatum, P. murinus, L. parahybana, A. geniculata, G. pulchripes, and C. cyanopeubescens! I also picked up my first juvenile spider thats bigger than a spiderling, a beautiful juvenile B. smithi showing full adult coloration! Anastasia was nice enough to drop the smithi down from $65 to $55 upon request, since I was a "returning customer," lol she is awesome! Well, just wanted to rant about my new additions, can you believe that I'm already formulating a list for the next time!? I think its safe to say I'm a newly converted arachnoholic

Me too, but all I got was a pretty adult female RCF G. Rosea from Anastasia. She even held it for us while we went to look around more. Netbug is great.

Nice, I had seen those among the juvenile tubs, she even fed one a roach for some people who were looking. Did you see the leashes she had for the hissing cockroaches? Hilarious!

Oh my god I loved her display of hissers! It was cool how they weren't in a cage or anything. I would be overjoyed to take one for a walk. Did you see the one she had rhinestones on? Roaches are silly.

hahaha, she was awesome, i actually bought the one she had on a leash that was on her sweatshirt!!!!!!! and let me tell you , that sucker is BIG. hes like a king of all hissers. I named him Emperor Shao Kahn LOL.

that expo was so much fun. I regret going with 3 people, they were all rushing me constantly and I couldnt take my time So i bought two G. pulchra slings and some supplies, I spent way too much money haha.

I could not belive the prices they had, it was just insane how cheap the stuff was. I am so pumped up to go to another one , I cant wait!

Lol yeah that was interesting, no cage at all and not a single one attempted to get away! I'm sure they wouldn't want to with all those tarantulas on the table tho

Congrats on your G. Pulchra slings! I just finished feeding my new additions, the Greenbottle Blue's feeding response is wicked!
