I know this one is super tiny but can anyone tell me if it’s a flower beetle or something else. I’ve been looking for grubs but today, I was replanting some pothos into an old pot with soil and found this dude. I can’t tell if he was in the new or old soil but I did find him on top of the dirt.

It’s a tiny little grub. I can’t think of what it can be. The only species around here are fig eating beetles so I have a theory it is one of those. They start coming out this time of year. I put in a mix of locally collected rotten wood, a couple oak leaves, and a tiny bit of peat. It’s in a 5.5 oz deli cup. I guess I’ll have to wait and see what it is. It wasn’t crawling on its back but I don’t know.

It sc not those either too small and the wrong shape. It's not a flower, rhino, or stag beetle grub. Sorry
